Booklovers apart from scouring the numerous 2nd hand and antiquarian bookstores , can immerse themselves in what was for over a century the worlds largest public reference library , across the road AND PARTICIPATE in Radio Scoylands 2011 book lives, pick up a free book for your journey , pass it on and watch where the book goes , you could end up on radio from San francisco to sydney charting the travels of the book as well as your opinion of it.
Towards the end of the year the results will be broadcast although weekly updates are broadcast on radio every Monday, participants just fill an email address in the cover and sign in on the radios website.
We have a no of groups staying here from various gig venues as well as the theatre lists , a large repeat booking ratio and a dedicated army of weekend out of towners from all around the place who regularly come in for their fix of live gigs so please book early , especially at weekends.
